Invited Lecture at the University Medical Center Göttingen (October 23, 2013)—CEO and Scientific Head Prof. Dr. Klaus-Peter Adlassnig was invited by the Department for Medical Informatics of the  University Medical Center Göttingen in Göttingen, Germany, to give a lecture on "Clinical decision support in practice: Nosocomial infections, adverse drug events, evidence-based processes".

Presentations at MEDINFO 2013, Amsterdam (August 20-23, 2013)—Members of the Medexter team and members of the Medical University of Vienna co-authored three papers that were presented at the 14th World Congress on Medical and Health Informatics in Amsterdam: "Validation of Fuzzy Sets in an Automated Detection System for Intensive-Care-Unit-Acquired Central-Venous-Catheter-Related Infections", "Delivering Antibiotic Resistance Information Specifically Tailored to Location and Time", as well as "Can We Bridge the Definition Diversity in Healthcare-Asscoiated Infection Surveillance? From IT-Supported Surveillance to IT-Supported Infection Prevention and Control".

Infection Surveillance with Moni (July 4, 2013)—At the Clinical Department for Clinical Virology of the Vienna General Hospital, Prof. Adlassnig gave an invited lecture on "Moni – Infection surveillance in the hospital".

Veterans Affairs Meeting, Boston (June 17, 2013)—At a meeting with Veterans Affairs in Boston, U.S.A, CEO and Scientific Head Prof. Dr. Klaus-Peter Adlassnig talked about "Arden Syntax – Progress and Applications".

Progress in the Arden Syntax Software Development, Atlanta (May 7, 2013)—Members of the Medexter team gave a lecture on "Progress in the Development of Arden Syntax Software" at an HL7 Arden Syntax Work Group Meeting in Atlanta, U.S.A.

JAMIA Publication on Pharmacogenomics (May 1, 2013)—In the Journal of American Medical Informatics Association, members of the Medexter team, the Medical University of Vienna and the Vienna University of Technology published a paper on "Pharmacogenomics in the Pocket of Every Patient? A Prototype Based on Quick Response Codes".

Data and Knowledge for Medical Decision Support Conference, Prague (April 18, 2013)—An invited lecture on "A Standards Series for Knowledge Representation and Knowledge Sharing" was held by Prof. Dr. Klaus-Peter Adlassnig as part of the HL7 Workshop at EFMI Special Topic Conference 2013 "Data and Knowledge for Medical Decision Support" in Prague, Czech Republic.

ConhIT 2013, Berlin (April 9–11, 2013)—For the fourth time, Medexter Healthcare attended the Connecting Healthcare IT (conhIT) trade fair in Berlin/Germany. Three days of presentations of Medexter's products accompanied by intensive discussions with present and prospective customers took place.

Reduction of Antibiotic Resistance (April 10, 2013)—As part of the 7th Austrian Infection Congress in Saalfelden/Austria, an abstract on "Verringerung von Antibiotikaresistenzen mit zeitaktuellen und lokalisierten Resistenzinformationen" was presented by members of the Medical University of Vienna and Medexter Healthcare.
